Drive through Taiwan's most stunning coasts! A visit to Taimali and the surroundings is truely special. Not everywhere in Taiwan you can enjoy such a beautiful coast as here; mountains on the background, light blue clear waters and flatland in-between.
If you drive the route by scooter or car from Daren to Taitung or vise-versa, you will drive most of the road through breathtaking views onto the ocean of Taiwan's east coast.
Liji Badland Geopark
Taitung is more infamous for its stunning nature than for the city itself! Just a 10 minute drive from the city is this unique geopark. It's free and really special!
Taitung is really a place for nature lovers and mountain lovers. There's also many camping facilities for tent-camping or renting a caravan. The best time to visit Taitung and Taiwan is in the dry season (spring). Enjoy hotter weather with less rain and wind.

30 minutes driving up the mountains near Taimali, you can enjoy the breathtaking views upon the mountains. Here particularly, they grow tea.
